Strategic design that answers the user's problem is not about the latest and coolest thing, it's about what the user needs to solve their problem. If the design inhibits the user and creates more friction, they will less likely convert.

And every user needs something different. Thinking of design as a blanket statement can sometimes solve for the majority, but what about the individual? Every. User. Is. Unique.
